Hey everybody
We are Gino and Elsie and since december 2004 we have lived in the most beautiful part of Sweden, which is the Jämtland province . Our new home is situated at about 50 km of the Norwegian boarder.
This is the place we have been looking for for many years.
A place were our dreams can come through ….
and here we are ….
”Fjällspirit” is a fact!
How it all started ? Well ... daydreaming! “Wouldn’t it be nice if…”, and so that is mostly where it ends. Until one day we had enough of it, we took the plane and went on “a mission”. It took us 3 years to find the perfect spot for us.
Because this is a step one does not take easily. We have had a lot of discussions, doubts, talks about the pros and cons. But one thing was absolutely clear to us, it had to be a place in the middle of nature.
We found that little bit of peace in a little village called Åkersjön. Fjällspirit means “Spirit of the Mountain”. Its main intention is to let you see and feel what nature is all about. We would like to share with you all the beauty, energy and mysteries the mountains, lakes and woods have to offer.
We can offer you an exciting winter holiday, an active summer or a relaxing autumn. But first of all, it is you who decides how you want to spend your holiday. So, let us know and we try to arrange it.
Have you ever been on a snowmobile tour in the middle of the mountains? It is an experience you will never forget! You can rent a snowmobile with guide for a day. After an hour or two we choose a nice sunny place, make a fire and enjoy the silence and pure air, warm up with a hot drink and a light meal on the fire.
This can be done with the whole family!
Maybe you want to learn all about the active outdoor life, in that case we can recommand you a 2-day (or more) snowmobile tour. You get to sleep over in a tent and/or mountain cabin, build an igloo, go icefishing and cook your own meal by temperatures of –15C and more.
Put on snowshoes and take a walk in deep snow. It is all part of your new adventure.
Maybe you would rather like to ski? Different langlauftracks (Cross Country tracks) and 2 skipistes (Down Hill Slopes) make sure that the whole family has fun.
Visit our Syberian Huskies and let them take you away on a sled dog tour. As of winter 2006-2007 ”Fjällspirit” does its own sled tours. From just a short trip of a few hours to several days in nature. The ultimate winter holiday!
We can also offer you a nice and exciting summer holiday. Go on beaver safari, rent a mountainbike or a boat. Take a walk into the woods or up the mountain.
You can also book a guided hiking trip for several days, a cano trip, a survival course... and of course go fishing in the many lakes and rivers!
