Many people breed sled dogs purely for their speed. To us speed is less important – we don’t race our dogs anyway.

We have chosen to focus solely on the purebred Siberian Husky and ensure we only purchase purebred dogs that we breed later on.

To us, the purebred Siberian Husky is something special. It is also THE image most people see before them when they think of dog sledding and obviously, this enhances the image.

It is this image we want to bring to life for you.

Several dogs will be joining us in the coming months and hopefully also some puppies!

Meet our dogs

KATO

Born 16th June, 2005 at Indian Tribe Husky’s Kennel. Kato is Tobacco’s brother.

Kato moved to us in August 2005 as a ten week old puppy. He has grown into a large, powerful, tough dog – something he likes to display in the kennel. He’s very social and extremely enthusiastic about visitors. His large build also makes him very strong and consequently he can sometimes be perceived as a little TOO enthusiastic by visitors. He has a strong free will and requires a stern hand. In other words he only listens to his master.
He performs very well in the team and is a good leader together with Tobacco.

TOBACCO

Born 16th June, 2005 at Indian Tribe Husky’s Kennel. He arrived the same day as his brother Kato.

Tobacco has a more athletic build than Kato and personality wise he’s the exact opposite.
Tobacco is sensitive, gentle and extremely obedient.

Kato and Tobacco complement each other very well in the team. We’re currently training Tobacco as a lead dog but the question of how well he’s going to manage without Kato by his side still remains.

APACHE

Apache is also from Indian Tribe Husky’s Kennel in Ekorrsele. He joined us as a four year old wheel dog in the beginning of June 2006.

He has adapted to the group very well and is very social. He’s currently everyone’s favourite.

He howls like a wolf and as you can see on the picture, he’s been “blessed” with a hanging ear, something we find not only cute but also special.

WAPPO

Born 14th June, 2006 and comes from Indian Tribe Kennel.

Wappo is a more difficult husky who requires a lot of attention and patience.

He whines like a cat when he’s being strapped in but when he’s finally in the harness he runs nicely and smoothly along with the rest of the team. He’s best friends with Elsie and will probably run in her 4-strong team.

CHINOOK

Born 31st August, 2006 at Indian Tribe Kennel.

Her real name is Ozette but we renamed her “Chinook”.
She has been very obedient from the start.
She’ll be running with the other dogs for the first time this autumn. We’re curious as to how she’ll do!
Kurt and Lindsay Van Hoecke/De Brouwer are Chinook’s godparents.

LUMMI

Born 31st August, 2006, just like her sister Chinook.

Her clear blue eyes spellbind everyone.
Things can get a bit out of control when she’s together with Chinook and Amber and there is some rivalry between her and Amber.
Lummi will also be running in the team for the first time in the near future.
Kurt and Lindsay are also Lummi’s godparents.

WHITEY

Born 27th March at Indian Tribe Kennel.

His real name is White Mountain Apache but we renamed him Whitey due to the fact that we already had an Apache. His bright white coat also contributed to his name.
So far he has proved himself to be very obedient and we have high hopes for Whitey’s future as a lead dog.
He’s very friendly and looks after the youngest puppy, Spicy.

NADOTTA

Nadotta is Whitey’s sister and she was born 27th March, 2007.

“Dotta” as we call her is extremely energetic and has a strong hunting instinct. She was already chasing magpies at fifteen weeks of age and managed to kill two!

Don’t be fooled by her calm appearance – no mouse, cat or rabbit is safe in the vicinity of this “killer dog”.

SPICY

Our latest addition is a black and white coloured puppy. Spicy was born 11th May, 2007 and comes from Mickes Siberian Race Team in Kälarne.

Spicy is a fiery lady who won’t let herself be intimidated by anyone, regardless of the aggressor’s size.

Love is in the air between Whitey and Spicy but they will never be a couple as they have the same father.
