"Ansättfjällen" (as this area is called) has something for everyone.

We can offer our visitors anything from simple, self-catering cabins to more luxurious ones, with their own sauna for example. Most of the cabins in the area are privately owned and can be rented through us.
If you would rather not do your own cooking, cabins can be rented including breakfast, or on either a full or half-board basis.

Another alternative is, of course, the local hotel which has a nice restaurant, bar, sauna and Jacuzzi.

From the winter season 2006 – 2007 we also have two cabins of our own (self catering).

There is a grocery store in the nearby village. There are also shower facilities and a launderette there.

Contact us by e-mail or telephone for more information and prices (prices vary depending on the time of year).

How do you get to Åkersjön ?

There are several possibilities for getting here :

By Car
There are a number of different routes when travelling from the U.K. We recommend the ferry crossing from Harwich to Esbjerg in Denmark, followed by the bridges in Denmark and into Sweden. From Malmö (which is where the bridge from Copenhagen leads to), take the E6 to Gothenburg, followed by the E45 all the way to Östersund. From Östersund take the E14 towards Trondheim. When you reach the roundabout in Krokom, turn right and then left in the next roundabout. Follow the road past Lillholmsjö and turn left when you see the sign “Åkersjön 20”. Another 20 minutes and you’re in Åkersjön. If you’re driving from continental Europe we recommend the Stena Line ferry crossing from Kiel in Northern Germany to Gothenburg in Sweden – this option gives you a good night’s sleep before you proceed with your journey. Once you arrive in Gothenburg, follow the instructions in the previous paragraph.

By Air
The closest airport is Östersund/Åre. From there you can either rent a car or we can arrange a transfer.

By Rail
The nearest train station is Östersund.
